We are proud to announce that our Las Esmeraldas 70% Dark Chocolate Bar has been awarded a silver medal at the 2026 International Chocolate Awards USA competition.

Crafted from single-estate cacao grown at Hacienda La Esmeralda in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, this bar showcases the exceptional quality of Dominican fine-flavor cacao.

Established by the Rizek family, Hacienda La Esmeralda is one of the country's most celebrated cacao estates. Located within the protected Los Bejucos Denomination of Origin, the estate is known for its carefully cultivated Trinitario cacao trees, many of which are over 40 years old.

The cacao undergoes carefully controlled fermentation and drying to develop its distinctive flavor characteristics. The result is a beautifully balanced 70% dark chocolate with notes of ripe fruit, subtle olive, and delicate hints of cedar and warm spices.
