Almendra Blanca 70% Dark Chocolate
Almendra Blanca 70% Dark Chocolate ā Chiapas, Mexico
We are proud to announce that our Almendra Blanca 70% Dark Chocolate Bar is a three-time International Chocolate Awards silver medalist, including a prestigious silver medal at the 2025 World Final, as well as silver medals at the 2025 USA & Canada and 2026 USA competitions.
Also known as "White Almond" in Spanish, Almendra Blanca is a rare cacao variety grown in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. The cacao beans are distinctly light in color, producing a chocolate with an almost milk chocolate-like appearance and an exceptionally smooth, mellow flavor, even at a 70% cacao concentration.
What makes this chocolate particularly special is its single-variety cacao. Unlike chocolates made from blends of different cacao varieties, Almendra Blanca is cultivated for its distinctive genetic characteristics, preserving the unique qualities that make this cacao so exceptional.
The result is a remarkably approachable 70% dark chocolate with delicate notes of hazelnut, coffee, and cream, offering a rich yet gentle tasting experience without the intense bitterness often associated with dark chocolate.
